Interfaith
Staff and members from Covenant are committed to meeting and working with persons from other faith traditions. This takes place regularly in the meetings of FAMA (Faith Alliance of Metro Atlanta) and the Children of Abraham, and through participation in World Pilgrim trips to places like Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Spain.

Why Get Involved with People of Other Faiths?
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has offered guidance about relations with neighbors who are Muslims, Jews, Hindus or followers of other faiths, in a variety of documents, and from a number of perspectives. Many of these policy and study resources are assembled here in an introduction to the thinking of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) on interfaith relations and related issues.

Children of Abraham

WHERE in today's world of wars and killing and so much death and destruction caused by differences in denomination and tribe and faith in the name of religion which often leads to revolution, and sectarian behavior becomes sinister - WHERE can you find a member of Islam who is Shia sitting across the supper table eating with a family of Sunni? WHERE ??? Right here in Atlanta! Once a month on Peachtree Road, which is the spine of all of Atlanta, white and black, Arab and Anglo, Indian, Jamaican, native-born Atlantan, African-American, and naturalized Americans join together for food, fellowship, prayer, truly open discussions and direct questions and answers about their faith life as Jews, Christians and Muslims. They meet as "Children of Abraham" as believers of one God, whether they call the One "Adonia" "God" or "Allah".

All are welcome! Please join us on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Bring a dish to share (no pork please).
