Vacation Bible School at Covenant will be exiting and fun this year as we focus on the Biblical feasts.

The curriculum is called "Shake It Up!" and involves lots of great crafts, some science, music, Bible stories, and more-- all centered around God as experienced and revealed through the shared experience of food and table in the Bible. Join us June 13-16, that's the second Monday of June through Thursday of that week, from 9am to Noon. If you have kids from 3 years old through 5th grade, or you know kids that age, sign them up!

If you are a youth or adult who is free even one day during that week, please join us in creating this fantastic experience for the kids of Covenant and Camp Covenant.

Whether you are experienced or not, we'd love your help! Please volunteer your time and energy for this great mission of the church-- the education and spiritual fulfillment of our congre-gation's youngest members.

Children can participate in the Treble Choir (grades 2-7) and the Music Discovery (age 3 - grade 1).

• Treble Choir (grades 2-7) sings monthly in Sundays services. The Treble Choir uses a chorister training program in which members work toward achieving goals in music reading skills; developing the singing voice; responsibility and teamwork; learning about liturgy and worship; and understanding the role of a church choir. Rehearsals: Sundays, 9:30 - 10 a.m.
• Music Discovery (age 3-grade1) is not a performing choir, but rather a class in which participants experience and learn about music through singing, movement, playing instruments, improvising, learning to read music, listening to music, and learning about musical instruments, all in a free environment that encourages exploration and experimentation. Meets Sundays, 10:00-10:15 a.m. in the choir room.

Church school is from 9:30 to 10:30 on Sunday mornings, mid-August through May, with an extended session offered during the 11:00 worship service for children in the second grade and younger.

• Infants (under 1) are loved and cared for in the nursery on the second floor.
• Toddlers (1- and 2-year olds) are nurtured in the Toddler Room on the second floor.
• 3- to 6-year olds meet in the Primary Room on the second floor.
• 2nd - 5th graders meet in the Elementary Room on the first floor.
• 6th - 8th graders meet in the chapel on the second floor while preparing for Confirmation.

Club Covenant, an after-school program for elementary age boys and girls, is housed at Covenant and serves 40 children per year. Club Covenant provides recreation and after-school care, as well as a full-time enrichment and recreation program during the summer.

As part of its commitment to mission, our church offers building space free of charge to Club Covenant and our long-range plan calls for an expansion of our community-wide programming for children.

Camp Covenant is a full day program for children during the summer, with nine weeks of games, drama, love, learning and laughter. The weekly tuition rate is $115 which includes breakfast and lunch. Call 404-237-9509 for more information.
